Raising The Bar 2017

Raising the Bar Melbourne is part of a global initiative from a social start-up with a goal of bringing intellectual content to the public via bar talks from experts in their field. From its beginnings in New York in 2014, it has been touring the world and been hosted by London, San Francisco and Hong Kong, and last year was the event’s first time in Melbourne. There were over 1,000 people that attended to hear 20 amazing local and international speakers on a wide array of topics at 10 of Melbourne’s most popular venues. Go to the website to hear the podcasts or read the The Age article about the event.

This event promotes inner city businesses and enables educational institutions and business communities to share their knowledge to the public at some of Melbourne’s most renowned night-time locations. In keeping with the City of Melbourne goal of developing and promoting late night activities, the program includes events late in the evening to ensure a prosperous and creative 24 hour city. The 2017 event will be held in late November and please visit the website, www.rtbevent.com, for further updates.
