Designing Information Environments

This studio, open to students in the Master of Design Innovation and Technology at RMIT, explores the concept of ‘Knowledge Wayfinding’: a blending of knowledge spaces and urban navigation. With a focus on events taking place during Melbourne Knowledge Week 2017 – but set in the future of 2025 – the studio challenges participants to consider how data, information, and knowledge can permeate the contemporary city. The studio develops ideas for an innovation district in the city north area and explores how new technologies and interactions can inform sites within the district.
