Acknowledgement of Country

RMIT University acknowledges the people of the Woi Wurrung and Boon Wurrung language groups of the eastern Kulin Nation on whose unceded lands we conduct the business of the University.

RMIT University respectfully acknowledges their Ancestors and Elders, past and present. RMIT also acknowledges the Traditional Custodians and their Ancestors of the lands and waters across Australia where we conduct our business.

Micro-credentials

The University of Melbourne is to join forces with Learning Machine, a US-based company associated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab, to pilot a blockchain based micro-credentialing system. It will enable employers to verify those credentials quickly.

The system will be trialed in an internal professional development program run in July by the Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education with a wider roll-out being considered for 2018.
